Dear badminton players,

You are welcome to join the badminton fun again in Sunnyvale Indoor Sports Center this coming Saturday.

All levels are welcome!
Must be at least 16 years of age or older to participate unless supervised by parent or legal guardian.

There are usually much more than ten regular players from cheersbay's badminton team in each session.

Session I: 3:30pm - 5:30pm (default)
Session II: 5:45pm - 7:45pm (optional)

在陳力俊校長和北加州校友會舉辦的矽谷午宴中，磨鏡及創社成員與兩屆會長相認。因為這個相逢，也因為今年是創社四十年，天文社的四十週年慶由矽谷校友和新竹清華天文社聯合推動展開。

天文社開始於熱愛天文和動手的一群人。在丘宏義教授帶領下，四個物理系大一的學生在課餘辛苦磨成高精密品質望遠鏡片，大四的成員完成鏡架的設計及製作，再由徐賢修校長大力支持，蓋了一個天文台，成立了臺灣第一個完全自製的天文台。這在臺灣四十年前還是個創舉，也是個電視和報紙報導的消息。天文社也就在那一年成立，第一個活動就是觀星暑期育樂營。

這四十年中經過多次凋零再艱苦的中興，現在每年都舉辦天文營，持續了天文社優良傳統，也提供熱愛天文同學心靈的歸依。

矽谷午宴相認後，天文社成員熱烈展開了聯繫。有一段時間內，電子郵箱中有很多天文社員的消息。多個物理系教授是當年的社員，也有社員從事其他有趣的工作。現在的天文社成員，指導教授和矽谷成員及臺灣，洛杉磯的老成員成立了四十週年社慶小組。

這次有個很好的講座 由神州團契主辦:

華人社會崇尚和平，然而我們的文化裡由於缺乏解決沖突的工具，不論是個人，家庭，公司或社會都充滿各沖突與矛盾。嚴重者家庭破裂，親友不和，甚至上法庭對簿公堂。基督四家神州團契將於10月開始的《我們和好吧！》專題系列, 是從聖經裡明白各樣的矛盾及提供解決沖突之道, 歡迎參加。
